Giving the children a voice is thought to be very important at Whiteshill. The School Council is a means for children to raise issues and concerns, make decisions and make changes that are important to them.
We believe that by getting the children involved fosters a culture of mutual respect between staff and pupils and gives the children real responsibility with real outcomes for which they can feel proud.
Some of the school council’s recent achievements are:
Developing the Behaviour Policy in school
Raising money through afternoon tea for the Wallace and Grommit appeal
Raising money toward the new school PE shed.
School Council Representatives
There are representatives from Year 1 to Year 6
