Year 6 have been writing suspense stories in English this week, learning how to hold back information from the reader and save it for a big reveal at the end of their short stories. Year 5 watched an animation of a short story called ‘The Girl and the Fox’. They then wrote their own versions of the story, thinking hard about using figurative devices to improve on the original.

In maths, Year 5 have been busy multiplying some very large numbers! Whilst Year 6 have worked on multiplying and dividing fractions with ease.

In topic, the children have been looking at a range of sources to find out about the Ancient Greeks and how they have influenced the world, this week they created their own timelines and maps to show where and when different events occurred and how Ancient Greece changed over time.
