A great week in Maple class. What fun we had on World Book Day! Our key text was ‘The Jabberwocky’ from Lewis Carrolls’  Alice in Wonderland. The children enjoyed learning some nonsense words and perform parts of the poem as a whole group. 

In Maths, both year groups have been learning to multiply 1 and 2 digit numbers by ten. A great opportunity for them to practise their multiplication skills whilst consolidating their ten times table. 

This week we started our ‘We are Scientists’ week. The children focused on being scientific researchers exploring human impact on the environment. They had to research positive and negative impacts, create a consequence wheel, conclude their findings and finally predict what the local environment might be like in ten years time.
