Willow Class have been telling Superhero stories

This week in Willow class, the children have been enjoying the ‘Nat Fantastic’ story by Giles Andreae. In this week’s photo, you can see they have had fun telling Superhero stories!

In maths, they have used number frames and counters to learn about number bonds to 9 and 10. They have also learnt to subitise! This is the skill of being able to immediately recognise the number of objects in a small group without having to count them – very handy when you are rolling a dice to play a game!

Elsewhere they have been learning the story of Chinese New Year, having a go at junk modelling and enjoying using their new role play costumes to enhance their play in the classroom.
