World Book Day fun in Willow Class!

This week Willow Class have enjoyed their first World Book Day at Whiteshill Primary School! They read Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson and then sequenced the pictures from the story. They also made a wicked witch face out of tissue paper and designed and created their own magic wand! The children loved spending the day dressed up in their costumes, they even got to do yoga dressed up!

In our maths lessons we explored different ways to make 10. We read the Very Hungry Caterpillar and then shared our pears between the ‘caterpillar’ and Willow Class. We also used Numicon to help us explore number bonds to 10.

In English we have been sequencing the story of Nat Fantastic. We created our own story maps and used our phonics to help us write words to describe the characters from the story. We are really enjoying our superhero topic this term.
